ARMED ROBBERY OF MAIL CARRIER USPIS 3935820-ROBB CS 22-087
December 23, 2022

A second armed robbery of a letter carrier took place on December 20, 2022, at approximately 2:33 PM, at 120 Rinetti Way, Rio Linda, CA 95673. Two men got out of a light gray Dodge Charger. The letter carrier stated a black male adult wearing a light gray hoodie and a black mask ran towards him carrying a black semi-automatic handgun. A second unknown race male adult attempted to open the passenger side door of  the postal mail truck. Afterwards, both individuals fled in the Dodge Charger. The carrier was not harmed during the incident.

Several local residents said they saw a vehicle with a loud exhaust speeding down the road at approximately 2:33 PM. Video obtained from a local resident confirms the Charger had a very loud exhaust.

The two robberies occurred within approximately 10 miles of each other. Old North Sacramento (ZIP code 95813) is about half-way between the incidents. Based on previous investigations, however, we know that suspects from the bay area and Stockton will often travel to Sacramento as well.

ARMED ROBBERY OF MAIL CARRIER USPIS 3933707-ROBB CS 22-086
December 23, 2022

A US Postal Carrier was robbed at gunpoint on December 17, 2022, at approximately 6:00 PM, at the cluster mailbox units in the Rivercrest apartments at 7916 La Riviera Drive in Sacramento.

The carrier described the suspect as approximately 5’6 with a black sweatshirt, hood, and black mask and believed the individual to be an unknown race male in his twenties. The suspect was armed with a semi-automatic handgun the carrier believed was a Glock with a red and white striped camo slide. The letter carrier was not harmed during the exchange.

The vehicle was seen near the mailboxes at the approximate time of the crime and was traveling in the same direction as the suspect. The vehicle left the apartment complex approximately 15 seconds after the suspect ran past the camera. At this time, it is unknown if the vehicle was involved.

The two robberies occurred within approximately 10 miles of each other. Old North Sacramento (ZIP code 95813) is about half-way between the incidents. Based on previous investigations, however, we know that suspects from the Bay Area and Stockton will often travel to Sacramento as well.

FATAL HIT & RUN CHP North CS 22-081
November 26, 2022

CHP North released a photo of the suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run crash that killed 35-year-old Artem Krolenko.  He was riding a bicycle southbound on College Oak Drive near Winding Way just before 5:45 PM on Nov. 10 when he was struck by a vehicle that then fled.  Investigation led to the possible involvement of a white Ford Ranger, single cab, with a unique brown or maroon bed cover,

FATAL HIT AND RUN CHP-North CS 22-075
November 15, 2022

Robert Jenson was hit and killed by a car on June 20, 2022, at around 9:10 PM.  He was walking northbound near the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and El Camino Avenue. The driver fled the scene.

A witness who pulled over and was with Robert in his final moments described the car involved as a late model white two-door Honda Civic coupe that likely has damage on the front driver's side.

On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 8:36 PM, Isaiah Molina, age 18, was shot and killed near the Starbucks at 1042 Florin Road.  A vehicle was observed on surveillance video fleeing the area following the shooting.

August 30, 2022

On August 29, 2022 around 8:05 PM, Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 3700 block of Broadway for a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The involved vehicle was reported to have fled after the collision. Upon arrival on scene, officers located the pedestrian, an adult female, with serious injuries. She was transported to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

BURGLARY Sac Park Rangers CS 22-051
August 15, 2022

On Thursday, June 30, 2022, a vehicle burglary occurred at the Sunrise River Access on the American River.  Several items were taken from the victim’s vehicle, including a firearm (snub nose revolver) and a debit card.  The debit card was used at several locations, including a Home Depot.  The suspects were captured on surveillance video.  The suspects are believed to have possibly been driving a black BMW sedan. Rangers are attempting to identify the suspects.

August 10, 2022

  • On June 29, 2022, at 11:00 am, two unknown male suspects worked in concert, with one distracting an elderly female shopping in the Placerville TJ Maxx, while the second suspect stole the victim’s wallet from her purse that had been placed in a shopping cart.
  • Suspect then used the stolen credit cards at Wal-Mart and Target in Placerville, both in proximity, to buy gift cards.  The suspects' actions appeared to be well rehearsed and practiced.

  • Suspect #1:  male, possibly Filipino, short with short dark hair and chin hair. 
  • Suspect #2:  male, possibly Asian, stalky build, wearing eyeglasses. 
  • Suspects left in what appears to be a silver sedan.
