Vehicle Break In's

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying suspects in several vehicle break in’s.

On June 3, 2023 Vigo County Deputies were called to the 2200 Block of North Tabortown Street on several vehicle break in’s. Upon arrival Deputies learned that several vehicles had been broken into and several items were taken from those vehicles. Nearby video surveillance caught two individuals at one of the vehicles as they were attempting to enter.  The two suspects are wearing light colored clothing and appear to be wearing masks.

Mt. Pleasant Church Burglary

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying a suspect in a recent Burglary.

  On May 7th, 2023 Vigo County Deputies were called to the Mt Pleasant Church located at 3050 E Davis Drive on a Burglary. Once on scene Deputies were advised that a side door to exterior shed had been kicked in, and a Red Farris IS 700 Lawnmower, worth approximately 9,000.00, had been taken. Detectives are now needing your help in identifying suspects in this Burglary.

Cargo Trailer Theft

           This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying a suspect in a recent theft.

  On May 18th, 2023 Deputies were called to the 8200 Block of E Old Maple Regarding a theft of a trailer. Upon arrival Deputies learned that 14ft double axel orange Diamond utility trailer had been stolen. Nearby footage caught a white newer Chevy Truck (possibly a Chevy Colorado ) take the trailer from the residence. Detectives now need your help in identifying the suspect in this case.

Abduction

           This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying a recent abduction.

On April 26, 2023, The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Briggs St and SR 246 on an abduction. The victim had disclosed that she had encountered the suspect on Riley Rd near Moyer. The Victim had stopped because she believed she had struck a dog that had ran in front of her. The suspect allegedly armed with a knife then forced the victim to drive through southeastern Vigo County, eventually stopping in the area of 246. No Injuries were reported to the victim. The suspect is listed as a White male, approximately 30 years of age wearing jeans and a blue hoodie.

Burglary Hunt Street
April 03, 2023

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in solving a Burglary.

      On March 24, 2023 Vigo County Deputies responded to the 200 Block of N Hunt Street in eastern Vigo County on a Burglary. Upon arrival Deputies interviewed the victim who advised that several antique items were taken from their residence. Deputies were also given a still image of the suspect from a nearby camera.

   Detectives now ask for your help in identifying this suspect. Please look at this image. The suspect appears to be a white male who drives a dark colored 97-03 Ford F 150 with a LED light bar on top.

Missing Person
March 27, 2023

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Terre Haute Police Department where Detectives need your help in solving a missing person cold case.

Anthony Ray Lofston, a son, father, brother and uncle was last seen by friends and family on August 30th, 1993 at approximately 10:00 am in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Anthony left his sister’s apartment in a brown 4-door passenger car that morning, telling his sister he was going to Indianapolis and he would be right back but never returned. It was reported that Anthony would never stay away from his family, and Detectives need your help finding him.

Anthony was born December 21, 1972 and was 20 years old at the time of his disappearance.  Anthony is a black male, 5’7” tall, and 130 lbs.  Anthony has brown hair, brown eyes with a small to medium body frame and short hair.  Anthony wore a small diamond nose ring on the right side of his nose and has a tattoo on his upper right arm.

Academy Sports Counterfeit Bills
March 13, 2023

           This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in locating a person passing fake 100.00 bills.

      On March 4, 2023 Vigo County Deputies were dispatched to Academy Sports located at 4444 S US Hwy 41. Upon arrival Deputies reported that a Hispanic or Black male wearing a dark hoodie, hat and a mask had entered the store and selected several items. He then went to check out and used fake $100.00 bills to make the purchase and left the store. Now Detectives are asking for your help to identify this person. Please look at these photos.

Wanted Person-Snow

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in locating a wanted person.

 Ashley Snow is wanted out of Vigo County Division 6 Court and Terre Haute City Court on several warrants. These warrants include Dealing Meth, Possession of Meth, Operating vehicle with controlled substances and driving while suspended. Ashley is a 35 year old white female, 4’11”,130lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Walmart Jewelry Theft
February 13, 2023

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying two suspects in a recent theft.

    On January 18th 2023, Vigo County Deputies were dispatched to Walmart on South US Hwy 41 in regards to a theft. According to Walmart Asset protection, two unknown suspects, had entered the store. The first suspect had pryed open a jewelry case and took several items of jewelry and the other suspect had taken a 10” subwoofer from the automotive department. The suspects later exited the store without paying for the items and entered an early 2000 gold ford F150 extended cab truck and left. Please take a look at these photos of the suspects. The first suspect is a white male in a brown Carhartt type jacket with blue jeans, grey hooded sweat shirt and a black hat. The second suspect is a white male with a white/black hat, a brown hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Box Trailer Theft

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in locating a stolen trailer.

On 1/23/2023 at approximately 7:30pm, a white box trailer (listed as a white 2006 Wells Cargo Trailer with Indiana Trailer Plate number TR291AFZ)  was stolen from DeBaun Funeral home located at 85 East Springhill.  Camera footage from surrounding businesses show an early to mid 2000’s red/gray chevy truck leaving with the trailer heading west on Springhill Drive.  Please look at these photos of the suspect vehicle and trailer.

Burglary

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in locating a Burglary.

            On January 27, 2023 Vigo County Deputies were called to Sweet Lou’s Pizza located in the 8500 Block of Wabash Ave in regards to a Burglary. Upon Deputies arrival it was found that an unknown suspect had entered the business and had taken a safe with several thousand dollars inside. The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras. The suspect is a white male wearing a hoodie, and gloves and a backpack.  Please look at this photo and video to see if you recognize the suspect

Clay County Wanted Person
January 10, 2023

This weeks Crimestoppers comes from the files of the Clay County Sheriffs Office where your help is needed in locating a wanted person that fled from Law Enforcement.

On 11/19/2022 Clay County Sheriff’s Deputies were called for a trespassing complaint. While they were investigating the complaint James T Williams fled from the Deputies. A search was completed and he was not apprehended. At that time Williams was noted to have active warrants in Vigo and Clay Counties. On, 1/3/2023 Deputies observed Williams at the Seelymart gas station in Seelyville. At that time Williams was in a blue ford focus (as seen here). When Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle another chase ensued and Williams escaped.

Detectives now need your help in locating James T Williams. Williams is a 31 year old white male, 5’10 inches 140-150lbs with Blue eyes and Brown Hair. Williams may also have a beard as seen in the photo. He may also be in a blue ford focus as seen here with passenger side damage.
