Driver And Passenger Charged With Multiple Felonies During Traffic Stop
On Sunday evening, November 30, 2025, at 10:00 pm, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Lower Hopedale Rd. north of Burlington, NC. The vehicle was stopped for failure to maintain proper lane control.
On approach to the vehicle, Deputies observed the odor of what was believed to be marijuana. Both the driver, identified as Alexander Poole and passenger identified as Leon Galloway, were instructed to exit the vehicle.
Deputies then conducted a probable cause search of Mr. Poole and Mr. Galloway. A search was also conducted on the vehicle. During the search, Deputies discovered what as believed to be Cocaine and Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and an open container of alcohol.
Mr. Poole and Mr. Galloway were arrested and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center.
