Burlington, NC | After further investigation, the Burlington Police Department arrested Michael Angelo Holland, Jr. (18 yoa). He was charged with two counts of Felony Conspiracy, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Injury to Real Property, Hit and Run Leaving the Scene with Property Damage, Breaking and Entering, and eight counts of Larceny of a Firearm. He currently has no bond.
The Burlington Police Department would like to thank the Carrboro Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation for their assistance.

Burlington, NC | After further investigation, the Burlington Police Department arrested Bryson Matthew Clarkson (18 yoa) and Sayvon Williams (19 yoa). They were individually charged with two counts of Felony Conspiracy, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Injury to Real Property, Hit and Run Leaving the Scene with Property Damage, Breaking and Entering, and eight counts of Larceny of a Firearm. During the investigation, two firearms were recovered. Clarkson and Williams received no bond.
The Burlington Police Department is seeking assistance in locating Michael Angelo Holland, Jr. (18 yoa), who is wanted for his involvement in the Breaking and Entering at Weapon Works.

Burlington, NC | On July 13, 2025, at approximately 3:17 a.m., officers with the Burlington Police Department responded to Weapon Works, located at 1433 University Drive, about a reported breaking and entering in progress. Arriving officers observed that the store’s glass entryway had been completely shattered, and the steel security barrier designed to protect the interior had been forced open. Further investigation revealed that a black 2013 Kia Optima was driven into the business to gain access, and several firearms were stolen. The suspect(s) left the area before law enforcement's arrival.

ONE PERSON DEAD AND ONE WITH LIFE THREATENING INJURIES AFTER REPORTED SHOOTING
On 07/17/2025 at approximately 08:20 AM officers with the Graham Police Department responded to 17 Cates Circle in reference to a reported shooting. When officers arrived they found Tanesha Presley, 49 years old of Graham NC, with a gunshot wound to the chest. A second subject, Timothy Long, 64 years old of Graham NC was located a short distance away with a gunshot wound to the head. Mrs. Presley was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. Mr. Long was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Mrs. Presley and Mr. Long are married, but separated.
This incident is currently being investigated as an Attempted Murder-Suicide.
This is still an ongoing investigation. However, there is no reason to believe that there is any threat to the public. ARREST MADE IN JULY 5TH SHOOTING ON SARAH WILLIAMS AVE
On Thursday, July 10, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., investigators with the Graham Police Department arrested 34-year-old Michael DeAngelo Paylor in connection with the shooting that occurred on Saturday, July 5, 2025, on Sarah Williams Avenue.
Paylor has been charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury with Intent to Kill and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He is currently being held at the Alamance County Detention Center with no bond.
The original incident took place on July 5th at approximately 9:30 p.m. when officers responded to 809 Sarah Williams Avenue. As officers arrived, they were flagged down by witnesses near the 700 block of E. Gilbreath Street who were assisting the victim, a 36-year-old man who sustained life-threatening injuries. Officers rendered aid before the victim was airlifted to the hospital.
We appreciate the swift work of our officers and investigators, and we are grateful to those in the community who helped us move this case forward.

Man Reported Missing Found After Vehicle Was Swept Of Roadway

The victim is identified as: James Michael Parcell, W/M/71 from Haw River.
On Sunday evening, July 6, 2025, at approximately 11:36 p.m., Deputies responded to a report of a missing person at the intersection of Jones Dr. and Calloway Dr. in southeastern Alamance County. The caller advised that he and a friend were driving separately in the area and lost sight of each other.
Deputies responded to the area and located the victim’s vehicle off the roadway covered in running water approximately 50-100 yards from the road. Deputies immediately called for a water rescue team who responded to the scene.
The water rescue team located the victim deceased in his vehicle and recovered the body.
At present, we will not release the victim’s name until the investigation is closed, and family notification has been completed.
