The offenses occurred, on Friday, February 2, 2024, at about 6:27 pm in the 700 block of South Conecuh Street. Investigators say the suspect entered the business, produced an unknown type of black firearm, and demanded currency. The suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of assorted U.S. currency.

 

Investigators say the suspect, identified as a male, was seen wearing a green, hooded windbreaker, a black stocking cap, white athletic shoes, and black pants. The male had what appeared to be Band-Aids on each cheek of his face, possibly disguising facial tattoos or prominent scarring.

Upon an adult female was located, the female identified as Stephanie Harbison, 54, of Prattville, sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased.

Investigators say the suspects, identified as two white males, entered the business at this location and stole $3,189.80 in merchandise on the listed dates. The suspects were seen leaving the business in an unknown direction of travel in a Dodge extended cab pickup truck, black in color with an unknown license plate number. The Lanett Police Department is investigating a January 28, and 29, 2024, shooting and is seeking information in this ongoing investigation.

 

On January 28, 2024, at about 1:57 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of 23rd Street Southwest, Lanett, Alabama, regarding shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, units located the scene and determined unknown suspects fired rounds at an occupied residence. Investigators say there were signs of damage to the residence, but no injuries were reported. Investigators say the following night, on January 29, 2024, at about 9:20 pm, police responded to the same location in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, units located an adult male who sustained a gunshot wound. The victim’s injuries were serious but did not appear to be life-threatening at this time. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Investigators say it appeared that multiple rounds were fired at the residence during the initial shooting.

The shootings remain under investigation and no other details are available for release at this time.

Thorsby Police Investigators released photos of unknown subjects wanted for a business burglary. The offense occurred on October 30, 2023, around 3:48 a.m. at Thorsby Drugs, located at 4 Minnesota Avenue, Thorsby, Alabama. Investigators say the suspects forcibly entered the business, stole multiple medications in varied quantities, and left the scene. A short time later, the suspects attempted to case another pharmacy in a nearby town, and area law enforcement was made aware of the suspect vehicle, the vehicle fled the area and was later seen by law enforcement in the Birmingham area. Area law enforcement officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle refused to stop, leading to a vehicle pursuit. Once the pursuit ended, two suspects were taken into custody and charged with burglary. Two suspects, as pictured, fled the suspect vehicle on foot in Calera, Alabama. Investigators say the suspects were picked up by the pictured vehicle, a white Acura with a sunroof, and an Alabama tag of 63A11TC. No other information regarding this ongoing investigation is available for release at this time.

The trailer has a busted rear taillight on the passenger side.

On Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24, 2023, police responded to Hill Liquor and Wine located at 107 Kelley Boulevard, Millbrook, Alabama, in reference to a fraudulent use of a debit card investigation. Upon arrival, police determined the victim used their debit card to make a small purchase, the victim accidentally left the debit card in the card reader. The victim left the business when an unidentified female was behind the victim, observed that the card was left in the machine and took the victim’s card to make a transaction. Once the card was approved, the suspect made another large purchase using the same card. The suspect then traveled to another area business and used the card to make additional purchases.
