The offense occurred, on March 21, 2024, at Almost Anything located at 221 South 9th Street, Opelika, Alabama. Investigators say the incident was reported on March 27, 2024.
Investigators say the suspect, a white male, entered the business at approximately 1:30 p.m. and purchased two comic books. While conducting inventory, the business later discovered the suspect had swapped pricing and underpaid approximately $600 for the two comic books. The suspect is seen on surveillance video wearing a dark hat, black jacket, and red polo shirt. There are no other details available for release at this time.

The Montgomery Police Department is investigating two robbery 3rd degree cases and is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects.
On March 30, 2024, police responded to a business located in the 2800 block of East South Boulevard, Montgomery, Alabama in reference to a business robbery. Investigators say the suspects entered the business, stole items, used force while in the process of exiting the business. Police say the same suspects committed the same crime at a business located in the 60 block of Fairview Avenue on the same date.
Montgomery Police Investigator’s released a photo of two unknown subjects, wanted for the two robberies. The suspects fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction of travel. There are no other details available for release at this time.
A person commits the crime of robbery in the third degree if, in the course of committing a theft:
(1) he/she uses force against the person of the owner of the property or any person present with intent to overcome that person’s physical resistance or physical power of resistance; or

On March 25, 2024, the Phenix City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division arrested 38-year-old Navansley Vonquez Smith of Phenix City, AL for the murder of Jennifer Marie Anderson. Anderson’s body was discovered on October 27, 2023, on Brickyard Road in an advanced stage of decomposition.

The Phenix City Police Department continues to seek answers in an October 27, 2003, homicide investigation.
Investigators say on October 27, 2023, at approximately 1:15 p.m. the Phenix City Police Department Patrol Division responded to a call on Brickyard Road near Fontaine Road in reference to a deceased person. Upon arrival, Officers discovered the body of an adult female in an advanced stage of decomposition. The Phenix City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division arrived on the scene and began an investigation.
Investigators say the victim was identified as Jennifer Marie Anderson, 44, of Phenix City.
The circumstances surrounding this homicide investigation are ongoing and no other details are available for release at this time.

The Prattville Police Department is seeking information regarding an Unlawful Breaking & Entering of a Vehicle that occurred in Prattville, Alabama on March 15, 2024.
On March 15th, an unknown male arrived at the Circle K located at Main Street & Memorial Drive. The subject was driving a black Mercedes (possibly early 2000s E-Class). Investigators say the male exited his vehicle and stole a purse from the interior of another vehicle. The owner of the purse was inside the Circle K business during the theft.
The unknown male then reentered his vehicle and left the parking lot, traveling southbound on S Memorial Drive. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black shirt, capri jean pants, and sunglasses.
Investigators released photos of the suspect. No other information was released.

Investigators say the pictured suspect, identified as a white male, stole a semi-truck that was parked outside of the Whataburger parking lot. The suspect drove the truck to Millbrook, turned around in the Walmart parking lot, and returned to the Whataburger parking lot located in Prattville. The suspect exited the vehicle and left the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
Investigators say the suspect was seen wearing a Monster Energy Drink jumpsuit, gloves, a beanie, and a headlamp.
The suspect is wanted for theft of property 1st degree, which is a Class B felony.

Investigators say two suspects arrived at the business driving the pictured 2017 Chevy Equinox, with an Alabama Tag of 4A00U15. The suspects stole a DeWalt Press Washer valued at $1,600.00.
