GRAFITTI TO THE 9/11 MEMORIAL IN MIDDLESEX BOROUGH

THE MIDDLESEX BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT IS SEEKING YOUR HELP IN HELPING CATCH THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR GRAFITTI TO THE 9/11 MEMORIAL

On Tuesday July 24, 2012 patrol officers from Middlesex Boruogh discovered damage to the 9/11 Memorial in Victor Crowell Park.  Unknown person(s) wrote, "HOAX" on the base of the concrete block ind placed three pieces of swimming noodles together to mimic dynamite,  This memorial was also targeted on June 22, 2012.  a similar act of vandalism also occurred in North Brunswick.  If you have any information submit a tip to this site.

New Brunswick Homicide outside Los Amigos Tavern

Los Amigos Tavern

A fatal shooting incident occurred in the early morning hours outside Los Amigos Tavern at the corner of Remsen Avenue and Hale Street, 142 Remsen Avenue.

Olvera-Mondragon was in a verbal argument in the bar just prior to the shooting.  Police received a call to the scene at 1:49 a.m.  Javier Olvera-Mondragon, 25, was pronounced dead at 2:02 a.m, shortly after exiting Los Amigos.

Authorities ask that anybody with information call New Brunswick police Detective Ronoldy Martinez at (732) 745-5217, or Investigator Sean O`Lone of the prosecutor`s office at (732) 745-3315.

     On August 6, 2011 at 1:56AM the New Brunswick Police Department recived a call about gunshots near the intersection of Remsen Avenue and Suydam Street.  Witnesses told the dispatcher that they saw a man laying on Remsen Avenue at the corner of Suydam Street. The victim, Jesse Simons, died of a gunshot wound.  The Middlesex County Prosecutors Office and the New Brunswick Police Department obtained video from local businesses and developed three persons of interest seen in the area before the shooting.  The attached flyer contains photographs of those persons.
