MURDER OF AMANI KAMATA STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION - RI22-05716
January 20, 2023

On July 10, 2022 at about 7:00 am, Rock Island Police officers responded to the area of 12th Street and 10th Avenue on report of a male laying on the sidewalk.  They discovered that victim Amani Kamata was deceased from gunshot wounds to his chest.  Investigation revealed he was shot at around 11:30 pm on July 9th. Amani and his family migrated to the United States for a better life.  His opportunity was cut short and his family deserves justice.   If you have any information regarding this case, please do the right thing.  Say something!  Call Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities at 309-762-9500.  If your information leads to an arrest, you’ll receive a cash reward.

ANNOUNCING ENHANCED REWARDS FOR GUN CRIMES

Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities has initiated a new gun crime campaign aimed at fighting local gun crime by offering higher cash rewards for anonymous tips that lead to arrests involving crimes where firearms were used.  With help from the Scott County State's Attorney’s Office and Rock Island County State's Attorney’s Office, $20,000 has been allocated to pay for the new gun crime campaign.  If you have information about unsolved crimes involving guns, if you know of felons who are in possession of guns, or if you have any other information regarding illegal guns, call the tip line 309-762-9500 or submit your tip here.   You will remain anonymous.  If your tip leads to a felony arrest, you'll earn a cash reward between $500 and $2500.  HELP US MAKE OUR COMMUNITY SAFER!

COLD CASE HOMICIDE OF HARRIETT CRANDALL REMAINS UNSOLVED

FAMILY STILL WANTS ANSWERS IN THIS COLD CASE FATAL HIT AND RUN - 2003-004349
October 25, 2018

On August 3, 2003 at about 1:45 a.m. Shannon Williams, Age 29, was walking in the westbound lanes of Illinois Route 5 in East Moline when he was struck by an unknown passenger car, described as a white, early 90`s model sedan; possibly an Impala, Celebrity, LeSabre, Dynasty or Electra that has a square, boxy body style.  The car then fled the scene westbound on Route 5. Bystanders came from Two River`s Tavern (Now known as Chopper's) and rendered first aid to Williams, who was found lying on the north side of the westbound lanes.  Another bystander attempted to follow the suspect vehicle, but lost it in traffic somewhere near Barstow Road.  Williams was transported to Illini Hospital by ambulance, and was later transferred to Trinity West Medical Center, where died.  The public’s help is needed to solve this 15 year old cold case.  The family wants to know who hit Shannon and left the scene.  If you have information, call the tip line 309-762-9500 or submit your tip using the free app P3 Tips.  All tips are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward of up to $2,500.

MURDER OF CAINNAN GATES STILL UNSOLVED
July 19, 2018

Around 2:32 AM on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, Davenport Police were called for a report of a gunshot victim at a residence in the 1000 block of West 8th Street.  When officers arrived on scene they found Cainnan Gates, Age 34 had been murdered.  This homicide is still unsolved.  Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest.  Call the tip line 309-762-9500, submit your tip here, or tap the app P3 Tips.

UNSOLVED MURDER - ANGEL HERRERA
June 28, 2018

On January 26, 2018, Davenport Police were called to the 1300 block of Warren Street and found that 17 year old Angel Herrera had been shot.  He was transported to the hospital where he died.  On Wednesday June 27, Angel would have turned 18 years old.  Angel’s family deserves to see justice.  Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest of the person responsible for Angel’s murder.
