The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

 

On August 28, 2023, around 1:30 a.m. police responded to Highway 41 near mile marker 109, Sardis, AL, in reference to a possible accident. Upon arrival, police located an adult male victim, who sustained a fatal gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The victim was identified as Gregory Thomas Dalley, 61.

 

Investigators say the victim was seen leaving Walmart located in Selma, Alabama, in a dark-colored, Jeep Wrangler, prior to the shooting. There are no other details available for release at this time.
