On Saturday, Dec.3rd, shortly before 6:30 pm, A 13-year-old boy was killed in a drive-by shooting Saturday evening in Northwest Jacksonville.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, shortly before 6:30 p.m., a 20-year-old driver of a red SUV and four teenage passengers were stopped at the intersection of Moncrief Road and New Kings Road when an unknown suspect shot the SUV “numerous times” striking the driver and two of the passengers.
They had been heading home from football tryouts at the Legends Center on Soutel Drive, about a mile away. The driver is believed to be a football coach.
All victims were taken to the hospital, where 13-year-old Prince Holland died.
The driver was listed in critical condition, and an 11-year-old passenger was in stable condition. The other two teens -- ages 14 and 15 -- were uninjured.
It is unclear why someone was shooting at the vehicle or who they were targeting.
JSO is investigating and interviewing witnesses.

2 Men found dead in a Baker County home

MACCLENNY, Fla. – Two men were found dead in a Baker County home, authorities said Monday, August 1st.
The Baker County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called shortly before 11:30 a.m. Monday to the home on Sawtooth Road off of Steel Bridge Road near the Florida-Georgia state line and found the bodies of the two men in different parts of the house -- one in a hallway and the other in a bedroom.
They appeared to have been shot, according to deputies.
Sheriff Scotty Rhoden said it appeared they may have died a couple of days ago.
“The sheriff’s office has chosen not to release the names of the deceased at this time to protect the privacy of the victim’s families as they receive further information,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. “Sheriff Rhoden is asking our community to remember the victims’ families in your prayers and to respect their privacy. As always, the Sheriff is committed to finding answers for the families and seeking justice for the victims.”

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office told reporters early Tuesday morning, May 24th, that a fatal shooting had occurred at approximately 10 p.m. Monday night at the 10700 block of Pine Estates Road, where sources say Rashaud Fields was killed.
JSO released little information about the victim, only telling reporters an "adult male" was shot and killed, the block the shooting occurred and that the victim had "at least one" gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to the hospital by Jacksonville Fire Rescue, where life-saving measures were attempted and failed, JSO said.

Vehicle Sought in hit-and-run on Hyde Park

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, Dec. 8th around 3pm, asked for help locating a car that police say struck a 10-year-old and an adult who were crossing a street.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, life-threatening injuries were reported in the hit-and-run, though it’s unclear if both the child and adult sustained life-threatening injuries.
Police said at about 3 p.m., as a “marked and lighted” school bus was dropping off children along Hyde Park Road, the child and adult were struck while crossing the street in front of a bus. The Sheriff’s Office said the car fled the area and was last seen traveling south on Hyde Park Road toward Blanding and Wilson boulevards.
The green car was said to have what appeared to be a garbage bag on the back driver’s side window. The driver was described as a female with red hair.
