Enhanced Reward for Fatal Hit and Run Accident on University Parkway - 2023/09/15
On February 20, 2022, at 11:30 pm a bicycle towing a small trailer traveling westbound on University Parkway in the bicycle lane approaching Carolina Street. The front right of possibly an older model GM vehicle, collided with the bicycle causing the 58 year old male cyclist to be ejected from the bicycle landing in the shoulder where he succumbed to his injuries. The vehicle fled the scene.

In addition to the reward offered by Manatee County Crime Stoppers, an enhanced reward of up to $6,500 is available through the Florida Association of Crime Stoppers, in partnership with the Florida Office of Attorney General. The additional monies are available through June 30, 2024. The anonymous tip must come through the Crime Stoppers program in order to be eligible for the additional funds.
