About Valley Crime Stoppers

Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.

Crime Stoppers provides a telephone number (498-STOP) and Web/Mobile Tips (www.valleycrimestoppers.org)  to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime and stay completely ANONYMOUS.  Download our P3 ap for mobile tips. (SEE "How it Works" under the About tab above)

Callers and online tips remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information given COMES THROUGH CRIME STOPPERS, IS ANONYMOUS and LEADS TO AN ARREST.

Cash rewards would not be possible without the generous participation of our valley sponsors.  We thank you for your dedication to your community in donating to help in this mission  to continue to make the Central Valley a safer place to live.  Visit our sponsor page to see those businesses who support Valley Crime Stoppers.

We are always out educating the public about  our program at community events, including the Fresno and Madera Fairs, as well as Fresno State’s Vintage Days. We continue to work to inform the public that every tip reported is completely anonymous.

We are in the process of working to get more involvement from the students and the school districts in getting the message out that students can also be a part of making our valley and our schools a safer place to be. Campus Crime Stoppers is also a part of our program and we will be working with as many schools as we possibly can to help get the word out about reporting crime anonymously. We continue to work toward the goal of making the school programs a strong part of our mission. The ultimate goal is to educate students on how they can utilize Campus Crime Stoppers to anonymously report dangerous activity including bullying, drugs and vandalism that takes place on campus or in their neighborhoods.

As we look toward the future we hope to expand our marketing reach in Central California with a big focus in working closely with our local law enforcement and being a more effective tool for solving crimes and catching bad guys. On behalf of The Valley Crime Stoppers Board of Directors we would like to say, “Thank you.” Thank you for believing in us and our mission, and for enabling us to assist local law enforcement in making a difference in our community.
