Attempted Break & Enter w/ Stolen Vehicle / Files #20-14056 & 14057

Just before 5AM on October 27, 2020 the suspects in one of these photos attended the Smoke On The Water store on the Island Hwy & attempted to break into the business by smashing a window with a rock.
 
Entry wasn't gained & the pair fled in the pictured vehicle, a grey 2006 Volvo V50. This vehicle was stolen from a separate Break & Enter to an auto dealership here in Campbell River! (Vehicle was located & recovered on October 29.)
 
If you can offer any information that could assist investigators, please get a tip to us. Police are looking to hopefully identify the duo responsible here.

Theft Of Tiny Home / Trailer - File #20-10537

Around August 19, 2020, this tiny home trailer was stolen from the vicinity of the Shell Gas Station on Brant Drive in Campbell River.
 
It's an 8' X 18' home with a green metal frame with brown end walls & a brown/green metal roof. Washington state plates were attached at the time of the Theft.

Around 0345 hrs on September 13, 2020, the suspect in this photo attended a local marine service business & made his way around the yard, stealing various fishing & boating supplies from vessels that were being serviced.

Theft From Construction Site / File #20-11834

Around September 8, 2020, various construction materials were taken from a site near the 2100 block of Evergreen Rd.

Around July 18, 2020 unknown person(s) broke into the new portables at Ripple Rock Elementary school causing various damage.
 
Video footage was captured in the area of what appears to be a male & female walking together. They are persons of interest at this time and police are looking to identify & question the duo as they may be able to offer details that could assist the investigation.

Mischief To Vehicles / Files #20-8959 & #20-8960

On July 20th around 1110 AM, the male suspect seen in these photos caused damage to two separate vehicles by arbitrarily hitting & kicking them. He then walked off and witnesses managed to capture a few photos of him, wearing a puffy coat & a toque at one point on this 28 degree C day! This occurred near the Thrifty Foods off Ironwood St & 14th Ave.

Another Theft Of Bike / File #20-8131

Another bike was stolen yesterday morning, July 6th from the Beaver Lodge Lands. The owner stopped for 1 or 2 minutes and left the bike on the trail, when he returned the bike was gone. He did not see anyone in the area, and it happened at 07:40 hours, which is a little unusual. If you see something like this during your day, here are the details:
 
Schwinn model 2.4 Teslin - Mens, orange & red, 14 speed, black seat, front and rear shocks, reflectors on front and back as well as the rims.

Recovered Bicycle - Whose Bike is this?? / File #20-7105

Campbell River recovered a dark green Norco bicycle recently around the Lambeth Rd area (June 16, 2020).
 
As you can see, somebody did a bang up job repainting this to an aqua bluish color, likely as it was stolen at some point. If you recognize this bicycle as belonging to somebody you know, call the RCMP here in town or submit a tip to us please.

Break & Enter - Theft / File #20-6447

Just before midnight on June 1st, 2020, the Smoke On The Water on the S. Island Hwy was broken into. Two suspects disguising the identities made their way into the store and stole various cigarette / vape supplies, then fled.
 
There are a few video images attached & perhaps somebody can help police with suspect information based on the clothing worn or maybe some of you have heard through the grapevine already as to whom was involved.

The suspect went into a vehicle on their lot & stole some tools from the dry box and 1 propane tank.

On May 14, 2020 at around 1 AM, somebody decided to illegally dump a large amount of old home materials near Evergreen Rd & Dogwood St, then fled in their truck WB on Evergreen Rd.
 
The truck is described as having a white cab & black dump box and may be a 1 ton dually.

During the early hours of March 28, 2020, the suspect featured in this photo broke into the Smoke On The Water store on the Island Hwy South. Once inside, various smoking paraphernalia was stolen, then the suspect fled.
 
Though we recognize this is a poor image to help in this investigation, maybe somebody out there has more details or may have knowledge as to the person responsible for this break in.

Robbery With A Weapon / File #20-4823
April 28, 2020

STATUS: OPEN

The Campbell River RCMP are investigating after an Armed Robbery at the Big Rock Liquor Store on April 24th.

Police were called to the Big Rock Liquor Store at 9:50 pm when a masked male produced a knife and demanded money. The male escaped the store with an undisclosed amount a cash. Fortunately no staff were injured in the incident.

The suspect was described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 6ft to 6ft 3 inches tall
  • thin to medium build
  • short or balding hair
  • blue/grey eyes 

RCMP members set up a containment area upon arrival and Police Dog Services were utilized. Of special interest, the suspect in the case managed to lose a shoe when they fled the area; gloves and a hoodie were also found discarded by the suspect.

Theft From Forestry Equipment / #20-4674

Between April 10 & April 20, 2020 unknown suspect(s) gained access to a Caterpillar 568 Log Loader near Roberts Lake & stole various items from it; all of the property is owned by L.R. HUGHES Contracting & includes:
 
- 1200 Litres of diesel fuel siphoned
- Lordco Job Box with HUGHES company logo affixed
- Flood lights
- Forestry radio & wiring
